Poverty: A Stage of life
On my way back to home, I witnessed a heart-melting scene- A little boy, bare-footed spraying water on the glass of the car while the traffic light was red and The Sun was emitting the heat which had turned the road into the bed of embers. Yet, No-one noticed him even the driver of that car, which gave birth to a question in my mind- “Were that boy invisible to them, or Were they acting like they never noticed him?”, Answer was very obvious.
Humans have developed this tendency to ignore the things we don’t like, and hence no one likes to look at poverty.
I had another thought- “What if all the resources in this world are redistributed equally to everyone?”, After giving some time to this thought answer was- Even if all the resources are distributed equally, it will not even take a day and in-equality will be born, this will happen because every person is different, they will utilize the money differently, therefore, due to the differences in the psychology of people the difference of wealth will be born out of it. but the most saddening fact is that due to the difference in the psychology of one person, his/her next generations will go through a long course of hardships unless a miracle takes place.
Still thinking of poverty as evil is wrong, it is a part of society and will be a part of society; it is a phase of life that is faced or will be faced by everyone either their predecessors or their successors.
The Best teacher of humility is poverty
